Advocate

SCDN will foster a unified voice of the region's existing, core communities to advocate for policies to accelerate sustainable solutions.  Focus will be the regional level and collaborating with state-wide organizations including the PA Housing Alliance, 10,000 Friends of PA, PennFuture, and more.  SCDN representation on the Policy Committee of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission is secured by virtue of a SCDN chair, Bracken Burns, serving on the Board and as immediate past chair of SPC.  SCDN leadership will work to place sustainability leaders on key regional boards and committees to ensure sustainability is a regional priority.
