Connect During the lifespan of Sustainable Pittsburgh, our region has steadily increased its knowledge and proficiency of sustainable practices, developing community leaders with impressive expertise. The SCDN will help put these experts in touch with other communities in need of their assistance for pro bono advice via the Sustainability Exchange Program. With an initial target of 5 connections, SCDN will help facilitate contacts and remain engaged to ensure that the relationship is effective in increasing sustainability in the region. A follow-up survey will help us gauge our own effectiveness in harvesting these connections. The SCDN also offers education and training programming through Sustainable Development Academies, where we will continue to offer seminars run by experts to engage and educate local officials, community leaders, and residents.
